  the watchtower has a new program where if you have left you can return with no questions asked and receive 100 bonus hours of service time.

  bonus hours have to be turned in within a one year of your return and are not valid with any other offers..

  i have two df'd friends...one gay....and they are both going back to meetings to be reinstated.

  one has a serious drinking problem and he feels the jw life with friends and family again will help him with the drinking (i would drink even more!

  )....he has some doubts, but believes a lot of it.. the gay friend you would think is full of holy spirit!....i thought from prior discussions she thought it was all bs....but nope, he has just always felt he was an evil sinner and wants a better relationship with god and to be with family....proven it to their self that it is full of lies?

  Oompa, human psychology varies from one individual to another in a very dramatic way, there has been been many people that left the JWS out

  wanting to carry on in a lifestyle of their own choosing and direction, only to realize it wasn't suitable or it brought on its on set of problems.

  The individual then feels insecure, frustrated and confused in what direction they have chosen and therefore are out looking for a different direction

  for themselves . A previous association with a religious group just might be one of them. But to honest though a lot theses people are emotionally

  unstable and for most part go through the Kingdom Hall doors like they were a set of revolving doors of an office tower, going in and out

  precariously at any given time.

  And there are cats like me who know that any acceptance of ancient religious social ideologies are wrought full of ambiguous harm

  and unjustness to are modern social awareness.

  This program was probably done I would guess in the early or mid 80's, but what Bill Centar said very much was in line with

  what Raymond Franz had said in his book COC that the leaders had become more devoted to their positions in the organizations

  rather than to derive and teach bible truths , in short the power went to their heads and they began spewing out all kinds of garbage

  to body of members. This is why those people in the video left and why Raymond Franz left.

  I still after all of these years find the JWS an interesting study of human psychology, probably always will.

  i started a thread last week about when each of you exited the jehovah's witness cult.

  i received about 41 responses from different people on the board and the years they exited the witnesses.

  i went back and analyzed the dates you gave me and it was apparent from your replies that 25 of you left between 1998 and 2009 a period of about the last 10 years.

  There may be two possible reasons why there are more folks that have left in the last decade then any decade previous ,

  firstly I think there is generaly more public awareness of religious cults in how they conduct and operate themselves,

  Ever more so I would say on apocalyptic cults like the JWS and similar ones like them. Secondly there is the inter-net now

  where there is a fast amount of readily information about the JW organization, most of it bad. So taking at least these two factors

  and you can see why the membership is starting to cool off and maybe too why they are putting less of a demand onto the members that

  they still have. They are quite aware of how important it is to them retain the membership and that is probably they are cowering

  back of as late.

  I just watched the first video and I can pretty much foresee whats in the rest

  of them, one guy has a perceivably open mindset willing to analise and cirteak information

  and the other person is close minded and wearing blinders not willing to put information

  through balanced scrutiny.

  Yeah I would have to agree with you Farkel, they brought out some things that were relevant , but as you say they under a new

  agenda now trying to spin the wheel in another direction. I couldn't believe in entirely everything Bill Cetnar was saying but I thought

  what he did say had some importance, I did like what he revealed about the 1925 and the 1975 scam and that the leaders of the organization

  seemed to love the power that they have accumulated and established over people and they seemed to have loved that more than anything

  else. A true salesman never does throw all of his cards on the table for everyone to see, just the important select ones .
